INS Kolkata Mishap

Another Mishap has occurred at Mazagaon Docks Ltd, this Friday on 7th March after INS Sindhuratna leading to the resignation of Admiral DK Joshi. This friday INS Kolkata, which is due to be commissioned on March 27, has undergone a mishap leading to the death of an Officer and hospitalizing of dock crew.
Commander Kuntal Wadhwa, Electrical Engineer on the ship, while performing tests on the fire-fighting machinery has encountered an deadly Carbon dioxide gas leak. In this incident he was dead while taking to the nearest hospital and it is also known that two of the crew members were also hospitalized.
The main cause for the incident is found to be malfunction of a valve in the fire fighting equipment, which released the carbon dioxide into the air. And the reason as known that lead to the death of Mr. Wadhwa is the excess inhale of the gas, as he was not wearing a mask.
Politically, a leader from BJP demanded the resignation of defence minister AK Anthony and UPA government to take the moral responsibility. And several authorities have ordered inquiries. This is the 11th incident in the Indian navy in 11 months. There should be a stand against this type of mishaps to takes place as these are taking lives of several officers.
